And Then There Were None

Borne like Genet—
          A blister on a rose.

Elegiac feelings end at seventy—
Bomb or no Bomb
Gregory Beat poetry with death.

Hello and Gone

Oh I was asked
if I was friends with poet Corso—
and to which I replied,
“Well now—friends?”—I said
(and paused)
“No, not friends you see,
but acquaintances
well met
hello and gone
onstreet corners,
in cafes
over drugs
all round
Globed City
San Francisco
Los Angeles
Amsterdam
London
and
Paris

Boom!
